Pilates is an extremely efficient core-strengthening system originally created to maintain fitness and increase lean muscle during recovery from back injury. Not your average Pilates Class, at Alpine Yoga this very popular system has been blended with Yogic and Martial Arts to provide a safe yet highly challenging workout that will isolate the body’s weakest links - and strengthen them.
Vinyasa means the link between breath and movement. Vinyasa Yoga is a fluid, dynamic class that leads students through various sequences of postures that strengthen, tone and stretch the entire body. Our vinyasa classes focus on aligning breath and movement to help you find balance both in your body and your mind; Your body gets sweaty, your mind gets refreshed.
Flow Yoga & Core Flow Yoga
Flow Yoga is a fluid, vinyasa-based class with the intention to restore your body from the day's physical or mental challenges, to help clear your mind and give you some space to breathe.
Core Flow classes have an added emphasis on waking up your core, taking care of your back, and getting your energy moving for the day ahead!
Restorative Yoga is a gentle class focused on body balance, injury prevention, deep breathing and relaxation. The perfect way to end a big ski day (or a long workday!), restorative yoga will ensure that you can keep charging hard all season long.
Power Yoga (advanced)
Power Yoga is an intense and physically challenging class that merges Eastern and Western philosophies to form a practice that has its roots in ancient traditions, yet incorporates modern knowledge of biomechanics, to optimise physical balance. A lighthearted practice done to music, with the occasional arm balance or inversion jam session thrown in, Power Yoga is open to all (non-injured) practitioners, yet sure to challenge even the most experienced yogi. A playful attitude is strongly recommended.
